Why does the brake warning light flicker while I am driving?

There is a sensor at the top of the brake fluid reservoir which triggers the brake warning lights to appear when the fluid is low.

If the brake warning light flickers while driving, it indicates that the brake fluid is at a slightly lower than recommended level.

When the car drives over an uneven surface, it causes the brake fluid to move about and occasionally lose contact with the sensor.

When the sensor is not in contact with the brake fluid, the brake warning light will turn on.

You might want to top up your car's brake fluid.
