I bought a seven-year-old Volkswagen Golf 1.4. It has a DSG dual-clutch transmission. When I stop at a traffic light or on a slope, the car idles in a rough manner when I pull up the handbrake and lift my foot from the brake pedal. Is this normal or a sign of gearbox trouble?
If you are waiting with the transmission in D, you should continue to keep your foot on the brake pedal.
