No long-term test of an electric vehicle (EV) is complete without touching on "battery degradation" - two words dreaded by EV buyers and denied by many EV evangelists.

According to a recent study by Web-based analytics firm Geotab, batteries "may outlast" the lifespan of the EV itself. Its hypothesis was based on a sample of 6,300 EVs.
