Having a car without hefty financial outlay or hassle of maintenance? There are more options now

The car as a service, rather than an asset. The concept is not new, with car-sharing schemes - in effect, short-term rentals - having been around in Singapore for more than 20 years.

It started with NTUC Income's Car Co-op in 1997, followed by similar ventures by a handful of others, including Honda and ComfortDelGro.
