Electric cars get their electricity from power stations. Nissan's latest Kicks e-Power crossover runs just like an electric car, but carries its own power station.

Like the Nissan Serena e-Power introduced here last September, the Kicks has a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which functions as a generator. This generator charges the car's lithium-ion battery, which in turn powers the car's motor.
