SINGAPORE - While some magicians prefer to maintain a mystique around their craft, renowned magician Jason Latimer wants everyone to know that his work is rooted in science.

Despite his tricks - which include bending light and shaping water - the 38-year-old told The Straits Times: "I think it's important for people to know that I'm not using pixie dust to make things happen. I've actually engineered my work.
