Life lessons from mould and mushrooms

The mould that creeps up on the wall, on book pages and even on your clothes is a reminder of life's decay and death's certainty, and a prompt that we should learn to love and let go

In my first year of university, mushrooms grew out of my carpet.

I was studying for my finals, so at first I figured they were a figment of my exam-addled brain. There they were, tiny white pearls pushing out of the floor, swelling, swaying on slender stalks.
