The 20-year-old Canadian pop star has long entered infamous territory. While he still has millions of loyal supporters, the press has not been too forgiving of his misdeeds, which seem to grow more frequent and wilder. The once baby-faced singer is now notorious for his run-ins with the police and outrageous behaviour.

The following is a litany of his less-than-savoury behaviour since the start of this year:

Jan 9: Accused of vandalising property with damage costing $20,000, surveillance video showed the perpetrator in attire similar to one Bieber was wearing on the same day. Police report made, no charges yet. Bieber's lawyers argued that it was just a prank. Released on a $2,500 bond.

Jan 23: Arrested for drink driving a rented Lamborghini in Miami, Florida. Photo of Bieber smiling in his mug shot circulated on the Internet. Charged with driving under influence, driving on expired license and resisting arrest without violence. Confessed to taking prescription medicine, smoking marijuana and consuming alcohol.

Jan 29: Turned himself in for allegations of assault on on Dec 29 against the driver of the limousine he and some friends were taking.

Feb 2: He is photographed doing inappropriate actions with topless stripper at a party in Las Vegas.

May 12: Accused of attempting to steal a mobile phone from a woman who would not stop photographing him. Complaint being looked into by Los Angeles Police Department. Employee of park they were at reported that Bieber did not touch the woman.

May 12: Posted Instagram video of dangerous skateboarding stunt by hanging onto moving van on busy road.
