Stress can be overwhelming and can affect everyone, including the young and old. Suicide does not discriminate.

"Everyone goes through difficult times, regardless of age, gender and status, and it is important to take all talk of suicide seriously," said Ms Wong Lai Chun, senior assistant director at Samaritans of Singapore (SOS).
