On top of renovations and upgrading with technology, hotels are still banking on good old-fashioned service to keep guests happy

When guests step into the new lobby of Orchard Hotel Singapore, which has the vibe of a living room in an expensive home, they are greeted by the hotel's iconic clock tower, which has been updated with a contemporary chandelier-inspired art sculpture.

It is flanked by The Orchard Cafe and Bar Intermezzo. The cafe has a garden-like setting, filled with lush greenery and flowers, that is as photogenic as it is calming. The bar has a contemporary botanical-influenced design with jade green and gold accents.
