Property magnate's son with a vision

Mr Kishin R.K., 34, one of the youngest property developers in Singapore, has had a busy year.
The Singaporean is chief executive of RB Capital, a real estate development company which he founded in 2006 when he was 23.
In May this year, RB Capital launched the 300-room Park Hotel Farrer Park, a component of the mixed-use project Farrer Square, which also has retail units and specialist medical suites.
Since June, the company opened in phases another mixed-use development called Quayside in Robertson Quay, comprising restaurants and bars, an InterContinental Hotel and a private club.
RB Capital's portfolio also includes the 442-room Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay, EFG Bank Building in North Bridge Road and Cuppage Terrace in Orchard Road.
Mr Kishin is the only son of Singaporean property magnate Raj Kumar, who was in business with his brother Asok Kumar Hiranandani under the Royal Brothers umbrella.
In 2011, the siblings split the company and now operate their businesses separately, with Mr Kumar later merging his business, Royal Holdings, with his son's RB Capital.
Forbes estimates the billionaire father-and-son pair are the ninth richest family in Singapore.
While his acquisitions as a young property developer have the industry taking notice, his private life is much more low-key.
Mr Kishin, who is a bachelor, was a student at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent).
A Business Times article earlier this year reported that he is an avid squash player and often does 10km runs.
For the Quayside project, Mr Kishin got feted Singapore-based architect Chan Soo Khian on board as overall designer because he "ticks all the boxes".
He says: "He has a strong understanding of what people want, rather than imposing his point as the architect.
"He also has a strong design aesthetic and is known to be one of the best residential building designers in the world. That's his DNA and that's why I wanted him on this project."
