Designer Kelley Cheng, whose retrospective kicks off next week, says the X factor for designers is emotion and intuition

"The whole system - from where to put the signs, how they should look, the palette and even the toilet signs - was designed by us," says the 47-year-old, who worked on the project for eight years.
