FLEXA OPENS NEW STORE AT FORUM THE SHOPPING MALL

Home-grown Singapore furniture company Mobel Story opens its latest Flexa store today. Flexa is a Danish brand for children's furniture and the new store will showcase its latest collection, Popsicle, which received the Red Dot Design Award 2017.

To celebrate the grand opening today, the store is offering 10 per cent off the new Popsicle collection and 30 per cent off existing Flexa collections.

Shoppers will also get free popcorn and balloons and there will be a crafts station for children.

The new outlet is Flexa's third Singapore store. The other two are in United Square and I12 Katong.

CRATE AND BARREL NEW HOME FAIR

American home furnishings retailer Crate and Barrel is holding a mini fair at the store's orchardgateway@emerald outlet.

Fourteen vendors that offer household services will be present at the fair. They include grocery delivery service Honestbee and technology firm Igloohome, whose smart keybox allows home owners and rental hosts to manage their property remotely.

The public can also make an appointment to consult stylists from the Crate Styling Centre for advice on space planning and home decor.

ART MEETS DESIGN AT ART STAGE SINGAPORE

Aside from showcasing works from galleries across the world, Art Stage Singapore 2018 is presenting the third edition of its South-east Asia Forum, titled Art Meets Design: Cultural Trend Or Fashionable Lifestyle?

The forum includes keynote speeches, dialogues and panel discussions on topics ranging from contemporary museums to design in South-east Asia.

These will feature speakers such as acclaimed architects William Lim and Ole Scheeren. Admission is free with registration.

The contemporary art fair, in its eighth year, features 80 galleries from various countries.
