LOS ANGELES • It is fantastic news for Harry Potter fans. The second of the Fantastic Beasts movie spin-offs from author J.K. Rowling includes scenes set in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, directly connecting the story to the best-selling Potter books and films, a teaser on Tuesday showed.
The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, to be released in November, also gave fans a first glimpse of actor Jude Law as a dapper, bearded, young version of Hogwarts' venerable headmaster Albus Dumbledore.
The spin-off - the series will eventually include five movies - is set some 70 years before Potter goes to the British boarding school to learn wizardry. The Fantastic Beasts story centres on Newt Scamander, a Magizoologist who studies magical creatures.
Fans were also given a glimpse of Johnny Depp as a pale, long-haired, dishevelled Grindelwald, the character who embodies the dark forces in the Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies
