SINGAPORE - Cops! My blood runs cold. They wave me over. I am now officially the thing I used to hate: An e-scooter oaf, a pavement pest.

For a second, I consider gunning the throttle, peel rubber, fleeing the scene of the crime at a fast and furious 20 km per hour and becoming a fugitive.
