Gifted kids get tuition too

Some pupils in the Gifted Education Programme say enrichment classes are not only fun, but also help them to cope better

While children in the Gifted Education Programme (GEP) are considered among the brightest in Singapore, such students are still increasingly participating in that most Singaporean of after-school activities: tuition.

Not only have GEP pupils been taking tuition to keep up academically, but parents of such kids are also enrolling them in programmes that are specifically targeted at GEP students - reportedly to hone examination skillsfor the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).
