Mr Wong Chin Tong's Teochew-style fish soup at Pasir Ris Fish Soup is so authentic that customers often assume he is Teochew.

"I understand enough Teochew to take orders, but once my Teochew customers try to chat with me, I cannot keep up," he says in Mandarin, chuckling.
