If the combination of pandan, gula melaka and coconut makes you weak in the knees, dig into these five creations, from souffle pancakes to churros

Blame it on Chalk Farm, which helped kick off the trend of turning local kueh into confections about five years ago with its excellent kueh salat cake.

Not surprisingly, other bakeries joined in. An obvious candidate for such makeovers is ondeh ondeh, those voluptuous balls of pandan-flavoured glutinous rice flour filled with gula melaka syrup and covered with desiccated coconut.
