The name Social Place suggests a Western cafe more than a Chinese restaurant. And when you walk into this month-old eatery in Forum The Shopping Mall, there is nothing to make you think otherwise.

The decor is a mix of Hong Kong cha chaan teng and Western cafes with booth seats, semi-private areas with mahjong tile-covered walls and open shelves lined with potted plants and duck figurines.
