Italian chef-restaurateur Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana has earned the top spot on the World's 50 Best Restaurants 2016 list.
It was No. 2 last year and placed third in 2013 and 2014.
The restaurant climbs above former No. 1 El Celler de Can Roca in Spain, which slipped a spot to No. 2.
Rounding up the top five are New York's Eleven Madison Park at third place, Lima's Central at fourth spot, and Copenhagan's Noma in fifth.
Singapore's Restaurant Andre climbed 14 spots to No. 32. It is the country's only entry in the top 50 list.
Burnt Ends ranked No. 70 for the 51 to 100 restaurant list released last week.
At the ceremony in New York, Mr William Drew, group editor of the list, announced that next year's World's 50 Best Restaurants ceremony will move to Melbourne, Australia.
