Eateries specialising in noodle dishes from China have been gaining popularity among Singaporeans and at least six have opened this year.

Business owners and chefs say the selection in Singapore barely scratches the surface of the wide variety of noodles available in China, which is similar to Japan where every shop and region in the country offers its own version of ramen.
