Impressive cooking and an updated decor for the 26-year-old Crystal Jade Palace

Crystal Jade Palace at Takashimaya Shopping Centre may be the Crystal Jade restaurant group's oldest outlet, but that does not mean it is behind the times.

The Cantonese restaurant, which opened in August 1993, closed its doors earlier this year for a major renovation. When it reopened early this month, it revealed a brighter and lighter dining room dressed in muted shades of jade green and gold.
