(THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Diana Chan set TV screens on fire when she won MasterChef Australia 2017 in an edge-of-the-seat finale screen on Lifetime - now fans of the Malaysian chef living in Melbourne will get a chance to say apa khabar and g'day in person.
Chan - born in Perak, raised in Johor - is coming home, and one of her stops will be a session to meet fans on Oct 7 at Mid Valley Megamall.
She will be sharing parts of her "amazing journey", answering fans' questions and conducting a live cooking demo of one of her signature dishes.
Along for the fun will be MasterChef Asia Malaysian finalists Jasbir Kaur and Marcus Low, who will also be cooking at the event.
Chan, 29, left her home country for university in Australia, then went on to work as an accountant there. Her MasterChef Australia journey was hallmarked by her always cool and calm demeanour, as well as her celebration of the many flavours and textures of Malaysian cuisine.
She beat fellow finalist Ben Ungermann to win the title and a cool A$250,000 (S$266,400).
Catch Chan on Oct 7 at the ground floor South Court area of Mid Valley Megamall, from 3pm to 5pm. The event will also be streamed live on Facebook by @LifetimeAsia.
