From one restaurant opened by four friends 25 years ago, Les Amis has grown to be a veritable empire: 25 restaurants in Singapore and more than 30 overseas.

The group's notoriously low-key chairman, Mr Desmond Lim, 62, tells The Sunday Times he thinks it is time to hire a chief executive to run the group.
