Destination-inspired Soups

To celebrate its 13th anniversary, The Soup Spoon has launched a rebranding campaign titled The World In One Kitchen, which will see three destination-themed soups being launched every six weeks.

Those available till Oct 12 are inspired by Japan: Japanese Style Vegan Sweet Potato Curry ($7.50 for regular, $8.80 for large), Salmon Head Tounyu Nabe ($9.20 for regular, $10.50 for large) and Nikujaga Seiyo Wasabi Beef Stew ($8.70 for regular, $10 for large). They will be available at the chain's 21 outlets.

Spanish Celebration Set

The Catalan National Day is next Friday and Catalunya Singapore will be offering a Catalunya Pincho Set priced at $11++. Each set consists of a Tortilla Aioli Pincho, a Spanish omelette with potatoes, egg and caramelised onion atop a slice of bread; and a glass of cava, red, or white wine. The set will be available at Catalunya Singapore's cocktail and tapas bar from next Friday for a limited time .

Flavours Of Ireland Dinner

The Grand Hyatt Singapore is partnering with the Community Chest to organise a dinner with a silent auction to raise funds for the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped, a charity supported by Community Chest.

The five-course dinner menu, created by executive sous chef Martin Satow, features 100 per cent organic, grass-fed beef from Irish farmers John Stone. The items on auction include suite stays and private dinners. Registration closes on Thursday.

Premium Hennessy XO Pairing Menu

Head chef Li Kwok Kwong of Cantonese restaurant Feng Shui Inn will be collaborating with Hennessy to create a six-course menu, available from Sept 14 to Nov 30.

Dishes include stir-fried lobster meat with pepper and lobster patty with chef's special barbecue sauce, fried rice served with crispy smoked duck breast and a premium platter, which features crispy crab claw, pan-seared premium scallop with XO and twin-style chicken in sesame sauce.

The menu is priced at $688++ for five persons and includes a 350ml bottle of Hennessy XO.

Crab And Crepe Buffet Promotion

From now till Oct 11, seafood lovers can tuck into an array of crab creations by executive chef Kiang Siang Heng and Azur restaurant's culinary team at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport.

Available during the special weekend-only dinner buffet are two crepe stations. Guests can choose from savoury crab fillings such as Sambal Dry Shrimps Crab and Snow Crab Wasabi and enjoy French pancake in orange butter sauce.

The Hawker Stall will feature popular local crab dishes such as Salted Egg Crab and Singapore Chilli Crab in rotation every 30 minutes. Patrons can also have sashimi and sushi from the seafood bar and make their own Thai-style Krathong Tong, crispy cups filled with minced crab meat stuffing.

Singapore Restaurant Week

Next month's edition of Singapore Restaurant Week will be held from Oct 24 to Nov 1.

More than 100 participating restaurants will offer exclusive three-course menus for lunch and dinner, priced at $25++ and $35++ a person respectively.

Event organisers DiningCity will be adding a social responsibility element this time round . Participating restaurants will donate $2 from each bill until $100,000 is raised for The Food Bank Singapore. The money will be used to buy a truck, which will be converted into a mobile food pantry.

All bookings can be made online at www.restaurantweek.sg. Priority bookings will be offered to American Express Card members from Sept 18. Booking for the public will be open from Sept 28.

King Crab Feast

In line with its mission to offer premium seafood at affordable prices, The Manhattan Fish Market will be offering a limited-time menu option, the King Crab Feast.

From now until Nov 15, the casual American-style seafood restaurant is offering 800g crabs at $39.95 each, half their market price of $89.90. Also available are the two- and four-person sets, which cost $69.95 and $95 respectively.

Diners choose from three sauces to complement the crabs, which can be served hot or cold. The offer is available at all 15 The Manhattan Fish Market outlets.

Caffe B Bar's New Lunch Sets

The bar has launched new three-course lunch set menus that will be available from noon to 3pm on weekdays.

Each set includes an antipasto salad, a choice of main course and panna cotta served with either soft drinks, coffee or tea. Diners can choose from a variety of 12 main courses such as pasta and pizza. Menu offerings include Caffe B's signature Spaghetti Carbonara and speciality pizza Queen Margherita.

The Italian Table Brunch

Zafferano has launched a new brunch available on the first and last Saturdays of the month, starting tomorrow.

Each of the four courses comprise a variety of dishes. The antipasti, for example, feature more than seven items, including live oysters and fritto misto, a variety of deep-fried calamari, anchovies and prawns. The second pasta and risotto course includes homemade lasagna, gnocchi and risotto Acquerello.

The meal ends on a sweet note. Diners can help themselves to a free flow of at least five Italian desserts, including panna cotta and macarons.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore Dining Promotions

Race enthusiasts can look forward to catching snatches of the F1 action from Sept 18 to 20, as they feast in Mandarin Oriental, Singapore which has a series of offers during the race season.

Axis Bar and Lounge will be turned into an oyster and champagne bar with an unlimited flow of oysters, champagne and Beluga caviar canapes, among other items. It is priced at $350 a person on Sept 18 and 19 and $550 a person on Sept 20.

All-day restaurant Melt - The World Cafe will offer the Pitstop Lunch Buffet on Sept 19 and 20 at $45 a person and the Pitstop Dinner Buffet from Sept 18 to 20 at $60. Both buffets include an Indian cuisine counter and a live dessert station and are available for 45 minutes and an hour respectively.

Dolce Vita and Bay@5 will also be offering a special four-course set at $128 from Sept 18 to 20.
