Reunion Imperial High Tea At Tian Fu Tea Room

Tian Fu Tea Room by Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant has brought back its Reunion Imperial High Tea. The set menu features a line-up of all the auspicious Chinese New Year dishes as well as the tea room's dim sum in both Sichuan and Cantonese styles, paired with three premium Chinese brews. The midday feast begins with a Prosperity Yusheng. The dim sum follows and the high tea wraps with a rice or noodle dish and nian gao. The menu can be paired with Bi Tan Piao Xue, a flower tea from the Xinjin county in Sichuan, which is said to have digestive and anti-ageing qualities. The Dong Ding Oolong, on the other hand, is from the Nantou county of Taiwan, with low tannins and is recommended for those with gastric problems.

A freshly peeled orange perched on an inverted champagne glass represents the pinnacle of fortune, says Tomo Izakaya of its Boston lobster, salmon and white fish sashimi Abundance Yu Sheng (above). Special Tasting Menus At Meta

Meta, a modern Asian restaurant, has two special tasting menus that incorporate flavours of East and West. The six-course menus, with options to create up to eight courses, showcase chef Sun Kim's newest creations. One is quail smoked with jasmine tea combined with a medley of morel, shiitake and shimeji mushrooms in a soya-mirin glaze. The yu sheng comes in the form of hamachi sashimi drizzled with a spicy shallot, chilli and ginger sauce, and topped with sea herbs. Included in the menus are Meta's signature dishes such as umami pan-seared seabass on a bed of clams, radish and fregola (supplement $30++).

Yan's Chinese New Year offerings focus on familiar flavours with modern-day presentations. Its Signature Yellowtail Fish Yu Sheng With Golden Flake in Shun De Style is served with hamachi sashimi. Buddha Jumps Over The Wall comes with sea cucumber, fish maw, mushroom and a whole braised four-head abalone. This year, Feng Shui Inn's signature yu sheng comes in the shape of the Fire Monkey presenting peaches as a symbol and blessing of good health and wealth. Executive chef Li Kwok Kwong has created a special peach dressing for the dish. The Longevity Set Menus feature dishes such as the Baked Cod Fish with Black Truffle In Teriyaki Sauce and Braised Six-head Fresh Abalone and Japanese Mushroom Stuffed with Scallop. Treasure Pots are available for dine-in and takeaway.

Japanese-Style CNY Menu At Ikyu

Chef Takuma Seki has created a five-course menu with auspicious ingredients for this festive period. The Celebrity Yu Sheng is made up of Ikyu kanpachi carpaccio flavoured with truffle oil and Japanese konbu served with mixed shredded vegetables. Besides the main course of charcoal grilled tuna jaw, the other items are seafood saute, hot somen trio and mikan pudding.

Jamie's Italian VivoCity and Forum outlets will be serving a three-course menu that includes a glass of Porta Leone pink Prosecco upon arrival and a digestif at the end of the meal. The menu starts with two classic antipasti dishes: Chicken-Liver Pate Bruschetta and Roasted Tomato And Ricotta Bruschetta. Main courses include a choice of Norwegian Salmon in a saffron and mascarpone sauce; Jamie's homemade Truffle Tagliatelle tossed in truffle butter; or Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak. Desserts feature Tiramisu, Profiteroles With Chocolate Sauce and Strawberry Eat And Mess. Catalunya Singapore has prepared a romantic cheese and wine pairing platter for gourmet love birds to savour while enjoying the view of the iconic Marina Bay Sands. Its Valentine's Day Cheese And Wine Pairing Platter features five artisanal Spanish cheeses from the northern, southern, eastern, western and central Spain. The restaurant's sommeliers have picked three Spanish wines, including the highly rated Cvne Imperial Reserva to be paired with these cheeses.

Caffe B's three-course menu includes an antipasto called A Hearty Feeling, which is stuffed dory fish rolled with cubed prawns and bell pepper. The main course, Love At First Bite, is marinated beef short-rib braised in red wine and served with roasted vegetables in thyme and veal jus. The Jar Of Hearts is a layered dessert of white chocolate and yogurt mousse, topped with fruity raspberry coulis and wild berries. The Clementine cocktail features fresh honey, cranberry juice, triple sec, grenadine syrup and plum wine.
