Chef Pierre-Didier presents a four-course menu that includes Fjord ocean trout tartare served with Avruga caviar and crunchy vegetables; and a choice of short ribs confit, couscous, sauteed vegetables and piperade or pan-seared sea bass served with fresh spinach, capsicum and potato gourmande. For this month, the restaurant is also offering Southern French wine specials at $8++ a glass or $45++ a bottle.

Chef Diego Chiarini's menu starts with thinly sliced raw tuna loin served with tomato spicy gazpacho, followed by Classic Five Hours Mixed Vegetables minestrone soup and Angel Hair Spaghettini pasta. The main course is roasted scallops with potato and Avruga caviar with extra virgin olive oil and almond sauce or stewed chicken with cucumber and black truffle. Caffe B Lunch Set Menu Undergoes Revamp

Caffe B rings in the new year with a revamp of its lunch set menu, adding a Japanese touch to its Italian food. Choose from two appetisers and three mains for the three-course meal. For the mains, there is Linguine con le Vongole, clams and linguine pasta steamed in white wine sauce, chilli confit and Italian parsley. Meat lovers can satisfy their cravings with the Wagyu Groppa Filetto, steaks of pan-seared wagyu rump served with a creamy pomme puree, roasted vegetables and port wine reduction. Or opt for the classic northern Italian take on the Melanzane alla Parmegiana, a gratinated tower of eggplant layered with parmesan and tomato relish.

PrimaDeli's Laksa Sauce Mix Goes Into Its Cookies

PrimaDeli has come up with Laksa Cookies for the new year. They are made using its Prima Taste Laksa Sauce Mix. The newest addition to its range of pineapple tarts, Supreme Pineapple Tarts ($23.80 a tin) feature a caramelised pineapple jam centre made from freshly grated Sarawak pineapples. Making a return this season are the bite-sized Pillow Pineapple Tarts ($18.80 a tin); Fortune Pineapple Tarts ($1.80 each); and Cheese Pineapple Tarts ($18.80 a tin).
