Growing thirst for premium rums

Bacardi has chosen Singapore to be the first market in South-east Asia to launch its collection of dark rums

While rum may have a reputation as a party drink to be mixed with cola or in a punch bowl, leading rum producer Bacardi wants to change that perception with the release of its premium portfolio of aged rums.

"Rum is so much more than pirates and punches," says Mr Arvind Krishnan, managing director of Bacardi Southeast Asia.
