ENG'S NOODLES IS NOT CLOSING DOWN
Some foodies found themselves in a bit of tizzy last week when they heard that the popular Eng's Noodles in Tanjong Katong Road, famed for its wonton mee, would cease business operations on Feb 28.
Don't panic. The shop is not closing down. The lease has expired and it plans to re-open in the same area by May.

Popular seafood restaurant Mellben Seafood, which has several outlets across the island, has rebranded its outlet in Toa Payoh to Kelly Jie Seafood.

Bake a savarin, a classic French bread-like sponge cake that uses yeast as a leavening agent. The cake is said to have been created in 1845 in honour of renowned French politician, lawyer and gastronome Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.
The dough does not require kneading - all you need is a wooden spoon to mix it. Soak the cake in syrup and serve with Chantilly cream.
