With its beautifully burnt exterior and molten oozing centre, the Basque burnt cheesecake quickly became this year's trendiest cake.

Yes, Singaporeans have moved on from basic cheese tarts to these delicious cheesecakes that made a splash when the 10-month-old Olivia Restaurant & Lounge in Keong Saik Road sold its posh version ($14, $80 whole) that includes blue cheese and an almond sable base.
