For the third-generation model (above) of its two-seater roadster, BMW has specified a soft-top roof, replacing the folding hard-top system of the previous Z4 with a traditional textile canopy that harks back to the original model.
The soft-top appears to be the only old-school aspect of the new convertible, which sports modern design features, such as a mesh kidney grille, "air breather" vents behind the front wheels and a "ducktail" spoiler integrated with the boot lid.
