SINGAPORE - With the rainy season here to stay, at least until Christmas, some Singaporeans have been reaching into the back of their closets for thicker clothing they usually reserve for wintry holidays.

It has been full-on sweater weather for Ms Jessy Zhang, an assistant manager at a local university, who put on hold her usual uniform of dresses and skirts to hide from the cold.
