On a humid Saturday morning last month, a select group of international watch journalists gathered in a sprawling black-and-white bungalow atop Mount Pleasant for a chi chi but low key event: the unveiling of Vacheron Constantin's annual Les Cabinotiers collection.

Named La Musique du Temps, it comprises 11 one-of-a-kind watches which pay tribute to the musical arts.
