SINGAPORE - Mrs Tan Beng Yan, founder of local multi-label retailer Tyan Fashions, died on Tuesday morning (Jan 21) at the age of 70.

She had been diagnosed with leukemia a year ago and was responding well to treatment, but her condition suddenly deteriorated in the last two days, her son, Mr Glenn Tan, 42, managing director at Tan Chong International, told The Straits Times.
