SHU UEMURA COLLABORATES WITH ARTIST TAKASHI MURAKAMI

Japanese label Shu Uemura has teamed up with contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to create a psychedelic pop-art theme for the brand's 2016 holiday collection.

The 24-piece collection features Murakami's colourful iconic flower print motif.

The vibrant blossoms - representing love, hope and peace - have been seen on other brands, including French fashion house Louis Vuitton and American shoe label Vans.

Some highlights from the Shu Uemura holiday range include two eye and cheek palettes ($98, above), one with cooler blue and lavender shades and another with warmer pink and mauve hues, a hydrating primer ($65) and a limited-edition set of four make-up brushes ($125, above).

The collection is available at the Shu Uemura boutique at B2-40 Ion Orchard and will be available at all Shu Uemura counters from Tuesday.
