CHANEL'S NEW RANGE OF MAKE-UP BRUSHES
Make-up brushes come in all shapes and sizes and it is not always easy to figure out which are beauty-kit essentials.
French fashion house Chanel has made things a little easier by launching a fuss-free make-up brush collection that is useful for make-up junkies and beauty rookies.
Designed by global creative make-up and colour director for Chanel Lucia Pica, the Les Pinceaux de Chanel is a range of 21 brushes, made with soft and silky bristles - for the complexion, eyes and lips. Prices range from $50 for an eyeliner brush to $98 for a powder one.
The brushes are available at Chanel counters.
SULWHASOO’S FIRST ANTI-AGEING SHEET MASK
South Korean beauty label Sulwhasoo has created its first anti-ageing sheet mask. The Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask is a dual-layer sheet mask.
The outer layer is made with Gore-Tex (a fabric found in waterproof windbreakers), which the label says allows the formula to be sealed in completely while ensuring breathability. The inner layer is made with a softer, more absorbent material, which soaks up the dense yet smooth formula and ensures that the mask adheres comfortably to the skin.
The dual structure also makes application easy and fuss-free, by keeping the formula from getting onto the fingers.
The mask also boasts a rich creamy emulsion – unlike the watery serums in most sheet masks – that is said to contain eight times more anti-ageing ginseng extract than Sulwhasoo’s best-selling Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX.
The label says the mask helps moisturise the skin and increase elasticity and translucency.
The Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask ($148 for a box of five sheets) is available at Sulwhasoo boutiques and counters in department stores.
HARDY HARDY’S SOUTH-EAST ASIAN FLAGSHIP STORE AT ION ORCHARD
American clothing brand Hardy Hardy has opened its first South- east Asian flagship store at Ion Orchard.
Hardy Hardy is fashion label Ed Hardy’s diffusion line and takes its inspiration from studs, tattoos and rock ’n’ roll.
The new 1,200 sq ft space is the brand’s second Singapore outlet.
To celebrate, Hardy Hardy has launched a limited-edition Swarovski crystal embellished skull T-shirt ($169) exclusive to the Ion Orchard store. Prices start at $89 for a cap to $1,699 for a women’s studded leather jacket.
Hardy Hardy Ion Orchard is at B1-23 and is open daily from 10am to 9.30pm.
UNIQLO LAUNCHES NEWBORN AND MATERNITY LINES
Uniqlo has launched its first LifeWear maternity range, featuring leggings, shorts and Ultra Stretch jeans. These are made with materials that stretch to accommodate bodily changes during pregnancy. The maternity range is available at selected Uniqlo stores, including Orchard Central and online (www.uniqlo.com/sg).
In addition, new LifeWear items for newborns, including sleepers and onesies, will be available from next month at the Suntec City store and online. Older items in the newborn range are available in selected stores and online.
Prices for the LifeWear products range from $9.90 for a Babies & Newborns’ Bib (two-piece set) to $59.90 for a pair of Maternity Ultra Stretch Jeans.
