CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA COLLABORATES WITH MAC
Known for her sophisticated designs often inspired by old Hollywood glamour, luxury shoes and accessories, designer Charlotte Olympia has lent her signature style to a make-up collection with MAC Cosmetics.
Inspired by pin-up girls and the silver screen sirens of the 1940s, the collection embodies all things feminine, glamorous and playful.
Highlights include a deep red matte lipstick Starlett Scarlet ($34) and a natural deep brown liquid eyeliner ($26).
The collection also has lip pencils ($40), nail lacquer ($26) and mascara ($36). It will be available at all MAC counters from tomorrow.
MARKS & SPENCER COLLABORATES WITH MODEL ALEXA CHUNG
British multinational retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has teamed up with British fashion model and presenter Alexa Chung to produce Archive By Alexa.
The collection, comprising 31 ready-to-wear items curated and hand-picked by Chung and the M&S design team, was inspired by pieces from the high-street retailer's archive.
The collection features reimagined designs from the 1940s to the 1980s. The Elsie dress ($129.90), for example, pays homage to the gingham mini dress of the same name from 1968, but with a more modern silhouette. There are also pieces such as a pleated grey maxi skirt ($119.90), a sharp trench coat ($169.90) and a long-sleeved floral mini dress ($149.90).
According to a press release by M&S, Archive by Alexa is the first in a sequence of collaborations with designers, brands and fashion icons the retailer has titled the "M&S &" series. In Singapore, the limited collection will be available exclusively at M&S Wheelock Place from April 14.
