SINGAPORE - As hand sanitiser goes in and out of stock around the island, the inevitable consequence has happened to many: dry hands.

Experts say that hand sanitisers should contain at least 60 per cent alcohol to be effective, but pumping bacteria-killing alcohol constantly is harsh on the skin. Some dermatologists have also warned that hand sanitisers may trigger eczema.
