KFC uniforms get designer spin

Home-grown couturier Thomas Wee is inspired by the fast-food chain's heritage and American baseball for its staff's new street-style outfits

The next time you are on a fast-food run in KFC, you may notice the smart new uniforms that the staff are wearing.

From Monday, employees at KFC outlets islandwide will be outfitted in uniforms designed by Singaporean couturier Thomas Wee. This is the first time Wee, 70, has collaborated with a food and beverage brand in his 40-year career.
