The highly anticipated live-action remake of the 1991 Disney classic, Beauty And The Beast, hits cinemas here today, much to the delight of fans.

In the wake of this release, some retailers have unveiled exciting tie-ups with the film conglomerate to satiate Disney fanatics.

In Singapore, the tale as old as time has inspired fashion and beauty collections - from home-grown beauty brand Skin Inc's limited- edition serum in a bottle that rivals the colour of Belle's gown, to the enchanted rose immortalised on shoes from Melissa.

Here are six items for the belles of the ball.

Eco-friendly Brazilian shoewear retailer Melissa is using the enchanted rose, an indicator of true love between Belle and the Beast, as the key feature of its 15-piece Beauty And The Beast collection.

Featuring ballet flats for all ages, a rose applique sits atop each shoe in a series of colours, from bold red to metallic gold (pictured). The fairy tale is also captured in prints of the main characters on the insoles of the shoes.

Prices start at $95. The collection is available at all Mdreams boutiques here, at selected retailers such as Robinsons and Takashimaya Singapore, and online at mdreams.com.sg.

Swarovski has a history of more than 85 years with film, having collaborated with Disney for more than a decade on projects such as Cinderella and the Finding Nemo franchise.

Drawing from elements in Beauty And The Beast to create 10 items - five jewellery pieces, three ornaments and two pens - artisans from the Austria-based jewellery company cut the crystals in the likeness of Belle, the Beast and the enchanted rose.

Prices start at $99. The collection will be available at all Swarovski boutiques from Tuesday.

Scandinavian brand Pandora and Disney have collaborated to release a collection of charms depicting Beauty And The Beast characters and other well-known Disney characters, adding a magical touch to each wearer's story.

The new charms include designs of Beauty And The Beast's Belle, Mrs Potts and Chip, as well as Peter Pan's Tinkerbell and Winnie-The-Pooh's Tigger.

The collection also has a bangle (pictured) adorned with trinkets such as a rose in sterling silver and Belle's yellow ball gown.

Prices start at $69. The collection will be available at all Pandora stores islandwide from today.

Skin Inc released this limited- edition Beauty And The Beast Get Glowin' serum kit on March 2, garnering pre-orders even before sales began.

Contained in a yellow bottle (pictured) in the shade of Belle's ball gown with a rose trinket attached to it, the serum is a concoction of three of the brand's serums, promising to brighten the skin, even out skin tone and increase luminosity.

Skin Inc spokesman Hanzade Aytacli says the brand wants to encourage women to take on the spirit of Belle and lead actress Emma Watson.

"We want to help women to take charge, create and customise their skincare as they go through different phases in life," Ms Aytacli says.

The serum costs $169 and is available at all Skin Inc counters and online at iloveskininc.com.

Melded by a shared love of story-telling, it was only natural for Singaporean jewellery designer Carolyn Kan, 44, founder and designer of local jewellery label Carrie K, and Disney to work together to produce a jewellery line. For this collection, precious gems are juxtaposed against jagged patterns, encapsulating the contrast between Belle's elegance and the Beast's imperfections.

With this collaboration, Carrie K aspires to make artisan jewellery more widely accepted and accessible.

Since the 15-piece collection's launch last week, some items, including ear climbers - large earrings that creep up the length of the ear - have been snapped up.

The Teeth White Pearl Yellow Gold Ear Jacket in Yellow Gold earrings set (pictured) consists of a pair of pearls set against a yellow-gold design and costs $168.

Prices of items in the collection range from $98 to $398. The collection is available at Carrie K Atelier, Tangs at Tang Plaza and at www.Carriekrocks.com. There will also be a pop-up store at Level 1 Takashimaya department store from today till March 29.

Anchoring femininity to sleek modernity, Collate's spring/summer 2017 collection offers a vestiary representation of the beloved Disney classic.

The Singaporean brand's first collaboration with Disney includes bustiers and pant suits made with Jacquard fabric - cloth with a raised pattern that is woven in, not printed - evocative of the 18th-century period in which the movie is set, as well as the opulence of the Beast's castle.

The colour palette of the 20-piece collection is yellow - the shade on Belle's ball gown in the scene in which she and the Beast share a dance - and blue, of the dress she wears daily in the village.

The collection will be available at Tangs at Tangs Plaza, Level 2, and at www.collatethelabel.com from the middle of next month.
