It was purposeful disruptions galore at Milan Fashion Week last week, with brands competing to outdo one another in offering something different to audiences and consumers this year.

The disruptions took the form of shock elements, attention-grabbing accessories and a turnaround in the way collections are sold to consumers through the year.
