Cheongsam for cats, vests for turtles? More owners dressing up their pets

Home-grown pet fashion labels have seen sales grow in the past three years as more owners dress up their furry friends

Dressing up her three rough-coated Jack Russell terriers in T-shirts began as a way for dog-lover Loo Ke Ying, 34, to snap cute photos of her pets.

But the marketing executive thinks the breathable cotton shirts she buys for her terriers - Sam, Pecan and Shelly - also protect their skin when they get the occasional rash.
