The concept of the "it" bag - a colloquial term the fashion industry uses to describe the must-have bag of the season - has become entrenched in fashion culture in this age of social media.

These days, big fashion houses such as Gucci and Valentino push out new creations in the hope that they will rapidly become viral sensations and the coveted arm candy of celebrities. After debuting on the runways of New York, Milan and Paris, such handbags grab the attention of the fashion world and are imitated endlessly on high street.
