SINGAPORE - After five years as a two-day dance music festival, ZoukOut returns to Sentosa's Siloso beach as a one-day festival on Dec 1.

So far the only headliners announced are Belgian DJ-producer duo DVLM, or Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, who will be making their Singapore debut. Details of the full line-up and fringe activities such as a food village are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Tickets are now on sale via www.zoukout.com and range in price from $128 for DBS/POSB card members and Zouk members to $178 for tickets at the door.

The dawn-to-dusk festival hosted by homegrown club Zouk is now in its 18th year. It ran as a one-day festival from 2006 to 2011, before becoming a two-day festival from 2012.

Last year's edition, headlined by the likes of Marshmello and DJ Snake, attracted 40,000 partygoers. The return to a one-day festival comes after a consistent fall in attendance over the years. Attendance in 2016 topped 41,000 over both days, while the 2015 edition drew 45,000 revellers. In 2014 it had a record-breaking 50,000 festivalgoers.

Zouk says the move to a one-day event is part of its plans to refresh the ZoukOut concept from next year, including expanding beyond Siloso beach and "curating a holistic and wholesome pocket event somewhere within the city".
