Wright in charge on new House Of Cards season

NEW YORK • The producers of House Of Cards have reshuffled the deck and put their new cards on the table.

On Sunday, Netflix released images giving viewers a sneak peek of the upcoming season of the political thriller.

The hit series had to be reworked after its ace, Kevin Spacey, was booted last autumn after a number of men accused him of sexual harassment and assault.

The photos came out just as the Tonys were airing on Sunday night - an awards show that Spacey had hosted a year earlier, before his downfall.

For the sixth and final season, the House Of Cards writers have written out Spacey, who had played scheming president Frank Underwood in the moody drama.

The focus will switch to Underwood's wife, played by Robin Wright.

A teaser trailer featuring the actress surfaced on the Internet earlier this year.

Production of the show, which is based outside Baltimore, wrapped up last month.

But Netflix has yet to announce when the final season will premiere.
