Few people of colour took home awards despite the most diverse nomination slate so far, but a proposal steals the show

As the tongue-in-cheek opening musical number We Solved It highlighted (see other story), the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards did not, in fact, solve Hollywood's glaring problem of a lack of diversity.

Despite all the hype surrounding the fact that the awards show this year had the most diverse nomination slate in history - there were 38 people of colour being nominated, up from last year's 27 - the results in the end failed to reflect that.
