Why singer-actress Jennifer Hudson cried on the set of Cats

LONDON - Jennifer Hudson cries a lot at work. It is not that she is unhappy; far from it. Rather, the 38-year-old Oscar- and Grammy-winner is in touch with her emotions, especially when singing. And when making her latest movie, the film rendition of the groundbreaking stage musical Cats, she blubbed constantly.

She stars in the film as Grizabella, the Glamour Cat, and it falls upon her to sing the most famous song from the show, Memory. "I had to sing that song 35 times and so much emotion would always come out," says the Dreamgirls star.
