What Melissa McCarthy, Ron Howard and Irrfan Khan got up to on social media while in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks, Indian star Irrfan Khan and comedienne Melissa McCarthy are just some of the celebrities promoting films in Singapore this week - and while their media interviews are embargoed until a later date, they have been sharing personal updates of their time here on their social media accounts.

Khan, 49, who is here to promote the upcoming thriller Inferno alongside director Ron Howard and leading man Hanks, sneaked in some time at Gardens by the Bay with his 17-year-old son Babil, as evidenced by his Twitter account @irrfan.

McCarthy, 45, who is here to promote the reboot of Ghosbusters alongside director Paul Feig, wrote on Instagram (@melissamccarthy) that she is "Loving Singapore!!!" as she posed with a big smile at a local temple.

She also showed off some dance moves with Feig in a video with the caption: This is what too many Singapore Slings look like.

Meanwhile, director Howard, 62, playfully mocked in this Tweet the press conference host's constant reminders for journalists to keep their phones due to the embargo on all information and photos. He whipped out his own phone right in the middle of the press conference and proceeded to take a selfie on stage with Hanks and Irrfan.
