LOS ANGELES • More women have emerged to accuse former movie producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct, while the Los Angeles police say they are investigating one of the rape cases.
Former actress Heather Kerr, 56, who appeared in the 1980s sitcom, The Facts Of Life, claimed Weinstein unzipped his pants and forced her to touch him during a private meeting when she was in her 20s.
"I was frozen with fear, trying to remain calm, trying not to freak out, because, after all, there was nobody else in the office," she said tearfully at a press conference on Friday.
Ms Kerr said she pulled her hand away "as casually as possible", but said Weinstein told her that "this is how things work in Hollywood", and all actresses who became famous did it this way.
An Italian model and actress who accused Weinstein of raping her also spoke about the attack on Friday through her lawyer Dave Ring.
The woman, who is maintaining her anonymity, said Weinstein came to her hotel room in 2013 and dragged her to the bathroom. "He grabbed me by the hair and forced me to do something I did not want to do. He then dragged me to the bathroom and forcibly raped me," she told the Los Angeles Times.
Los Angeles police are looking into the case - the sixth rape allegation against Weinstein - while New York and London police have begun separate criminal investigations.
Meanwhile, American magician David Blaine has been accused of raping a model more than 10 years ago, a charge he "vehemently denies", said his lawyer.
In an interview with US website the Daily Beast, former model Natasha Prince, 34, claimed Blaine raped her in a private home in west London in 2004, a few months after her 21st birthday.
She said she met Blaine at a party in London and he invited her to visit him the following night. London police are investigating the case, after Ms Prince reported him in November last year.
Blaine, 44, an illusionist, is best known for his endurance feats.
Weinstein, who is extending his rehabilitation for another month, has denied all the allegations. He was sacked from the film company he co-founded, and has been kicked out of Hollywood's motion picture academy.
