Following hot on the heels of Team Captain America, Oscar winner Tom Hanks and Oscar-nominated comedienne Melissa McCarthy will be in Singapore in June for a series of publicity events at Marina Bay Sands.

The two stars are joined by directors Ron Howard, Paul Feig and Antoine Fuqua. All of them are here from June 12 to promote their movies and to kick off fund-raising efforts for Marina Bay Sands' annual Sands for Singapore charity festival.

McCarthy and Feig are part of the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot starring an all-female lead cast, which includes Kristin Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. The original popular 1984 movie starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.

Hanks, a two-time Best Actor Oscar winner for Philadelphia (1993) and Forrest Gump (1994), has teamed up again with Howard for the new mystery thriller Inferno. The adaptation of Dan Brown's bestselling novel Inferno (2013) features Professor Robert Langdon, a character that Hanks has played twice before, in the hit films Angels & Demons (2009) and The Da Vinci Code (2006).

Fuqua, best known for the actioner Training Day (2001) which won Denzel Washington a Best Actor Oscar, will be promoting his remake of The Magnificent Seven. The movie, a reboot of the 1960 western of the same name, will star A-listers such as Washignton and Chris Pratt, as well as Ethan Hawke and South Korean hunk Lee Byung Hun.

Sands for Singapore will be offering a spectrum of activities this year to benefit local communities in need. Last year, the integrated resort raised more than $5.4million for more than 300,000 beneficiaries from 80 charities.
